Today has been such a dreary day here in Maryland; one that makes me just want to curl up with a warm blanket and knit, knit, and knit some more. Maybe some day when my kids are older I can do that again but for now I have to grab my needles here and there, whenever I get a short reprieve from being Mom. No complaints...just a desire to knit.
I so wish the warm weather would come and stay for awhile. We had a gorgeous day yesterday so I was able to get out and take a walk with my little guy, Scottie. He loves being outside and he's just starting to really get the hang of this walking thing so he's very busy exploring. I love where we live because there are so many kids on our court and we all get out there and enjoy each other and the weather.
I've been thinking about warm weather so much and looking forward to it so of course that affects my designing eye for knitting. I've been doing so many scarves for the winter and am now ready to venture out and work on other types of accessories and maybe some home decor items. I just saw a fun pattern for a cat mat...so cute and some knitted bobble napkin rings! What a great idea! I've gotta get working on these ideas.
